The shrine gates open at 5:30 a.m., and eight large portable shrines gather from Isaniwa Shrine (伊佐爾波神社) and Hot Spring Shrine (湯神社). Especially on the 6th and 7th, spectacular portable shrine collisions occur, drawing cheers from the crowd.
The sight of portable shrines ascending approximately 135 steep stone steps is also a highlight. The Dogo Station area becomes lively with many visitors, making this festival an excellent opportunity to experience local culture.
